Case note: Gyeonggi private farm (0.07 PH/s)
Situation: Operator reported gradual hash-rate decline over six weeks without obvious hardware faults. Internal team replaced PSUs and reseated boards with no lasting improvement.
Assessment focus: Cooling-path trace on four rack rows, inlet logging at 15-minute intervals during afternoon peak.
Finding: Rear exhaust panels mounted flush against a wall with only 8 cm clearance. Hot air pooled and recirculated into the cold aisle via a ceiling gap above row two.
Remediation: Relocated panels 25 cm forward, added deflector plates, sealed ceiling penetration. Operator reported stable hash through the following summer intake season.
Follow-up: Six-month thermal survey showed inlet delta reduced from 14°C above ambient to 6°C.
Case note: Incheon co-location hall (0.15 PH/s)
Situation: Tenant onboarding required third-party thermal documentation before insurance renewal.
Assessment focus: Thermal imaging survey across 72 rack faces plus spot cooling-path checks on highest-density tenant zones.
Finding: Three tenants within spec; one tenant’s custom shrouds left 12 mm gaps at hash board edges, creating streak hot spots on IR maps.
Remediation: Tenant replaced shrouds using our annotated images as acceptance criteria. Co-location used the report template for future tenant technical requirements.
