Cooling-Path Assessment Report
On-site review of every heat exit route on mining rigs rated 0.05 PH/s and above, with scored findings and remediation sequence.
Who this is for
Operators running ASIC or GPU farms at 0.05 PH/s or higher who need an independent record of how heat moves through their racks. Common clients include co-location managers preparing capacity expansions, private miners troubleshooting unexplained hash-rate dips, and facilities teams validating contractor ductwork.
What we inspect
- Intake conditions — ambient temperature at each rack face, filter condition, and negative-pressure pockets that pull hot exhaust back into intake paths.
- Board-level paths — shroud seating, thermal pad compression, heat sink contact, and bypass gaps where air shortcuts across hash boards without absorbing die heat.
- Fan and blower performance — curve mapping against manufacturer spec at operating voltage, including stalled or imbalanced units masked by aggregate RPM readings.
- Facility exhaust — plenum leakage, damper settings, and recirculation loops between hot and cold aisles.
- Liquid loops (when present) — flow balance across parallel branches, dry cooler delta-T, and pump head relative to loop restriction.
Deliverables
- Annotated photo set from each inspected rack position
- Temperature delta table at inlet, board junction proxy points, and exhaust
- Cooling-path diagram showing actual airflow or coolant routing as observed
- Scored findings ranked by hash-rate stability risk
- Remediation sequence with estimated labor categories (operator, contractor, parts)
Scope limits
We do not repair equipment during the visit, negotiate power contracts, or certify electrical safety. Electrical panel work is referred to licensed contractors. Assessments cover operating rigs; decommissioned hardware is noted but not load-tested.
Process
- Intake call — You share hash-rate tier, rack count, coolant type, and recent thermal incidents.
- Scheduling — Greater Seoul visits within five business days; other cities require two weeks notice for travel batching.
- On-site day — Technicians work rack-by-rack without shutting down production unless a safe isolation point exists.
- Report delivery — PDF within four business days. One revision call included for clarification.
